ABOUT

Charmaine Simpson is a passionate Personal Finance Coach and Financial Educator. Focused on helping clients achieve financial wellbeing by teaching, empowering and inspiring clients to identify their goals and help them find practical solutions to money challenges and ultimately live the life they want to live. Charmaine works with clients who want to save money, create a budget, pay off debt or just improve their financial literacy in general.

After graduating with a 1st class degree in Economics, Charmaine worked in various positions in central and local government, higher education and the heritage sector.

Charmaine is a community champion of Financial Literacy and has been on a personal mission the past 13 years to improve the financial literacy in her community through workshops and public speaking engagements. Often reflecting on her upbringing and witnessing members of her family and community struggle financially, she became a Financial Coach to help people understand the basics of personal finance, develop and maintain healthy financial habits and to encourage the creation of generational wealth.

An experienced Youth Worker, Charmaine is dedicated to teaching Financial Literacy to young people at an early age. Combining her passion for History and Financial Literacy, Charmaine has created a 5 week programme titled 'Black Gold: A Financial Literacy Programme for Young People' which aims to help young people develop and improve their knowledge of Black History and gain financial skills at the same time using examples from our past and present.

Utilising her experiences of running a household and managing multiple businesses such as Black History Studies and Black History Study Tours together with her husband Mark, Charmaine has developed her own tools for organising and analysing finances. A Londoner born and raised, Charmaine is keen researcher of history, a lover of African print clothing, a loving wife of 15 years and mother to three daughters.
